The most fun you can have in the rain without a band. The attendees were disappointed because the bands could not play but I heard no complaints about the rain, everyone knew we needed it badly. All in all, a good day visiting with friends. The day is what you make it, and we made Saturday fun. Thanks Bo, Julian, Jessica and all the volunteers that made the day. It was a great day at Decker Bar & Grill as they kicked off their parking lot party with the fabulous Pink Slips. This band captivates an audience like no other. The drum not only sets the beat, it gives the music a pulse, a true lifeline. These are undoubtedly some of the best musicians on the circuit, and collectively, they are truly great. Super vocals, accomplished musicians and bigger than large personalities equal a fun and good time whenever the Pink Slips play.
North Myrtle Beach’s very own beautiful and oh so talented Marlisa Kay Small appeared at the Old Dominion Barn Dance where she stole the show with her powerful rendition of “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” for which she received a standing ovation. With a voice sweeter than grandma’s iced tea, and stronger than grandpa’s white liquor, Marlisa stood out from the stars.
