Despite the 53-degree water and brisk ocean breeze, the Polar Plunge faithful eagerly took the plunge to support the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, cheered on by a huge crowd. Over eleven thousand dollars was raised for the cause—way to go! The charming and vivacious Melissa Hinson was there to freeze the antics to film.

Great night as the Dynamic Duo, Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot, both CBMA winners, entertained at the newest entertainment venue at North Myrtle Beach, Castaway Keys.  This restaurant/bar has quickly become a favorite of locals.  Meissa Hinson was there for pics.

Local on the Water welcomed Too Much Sylvia to their stage and the premiere party band didn’t disappoint.  One of the hottest bands on the circuit entertained their large following of friends and supporters.  The beautiful and super-talented Melissa Hinson was there to capture the fun to film.

The multi–Carolina Beach Music award-winning Deckerz Bar & Grill was decked out for 2026 and ODMafia DJ Dan Summitt was there to spend the tunes.  A big shout out to all the locals and visitors that attended the very, very last performance by DJ Dan Summitt.  Also, we would like to thank those that was present at his very last performance and his last performance.   Stay tuned for the date of his very, very, very last performance.  Robin Cloud, who always brings a touch of spring whenever and wherever she ventures was there to capture to film all the fun and excitement always present at Deckerz,  Angela and the crew kept the fun flowing for a super evening.  Find the photos here. www.odmafia.com

Mafia DJ Dan Summitt was featured at Deckerz Night Life.  Both venues were sold out and both benefitted by the presence of the beautifully talented, Ms.  Sunshine and Smiles, O.D. A short but heartfelt note from Robin:

I was honored to attend a wonderful Christmas luncheon provided by Deckerz Bar & Grill, hosted by Angela Thomas and Tommy Brown, to bring some Christmas cheer and fun to local teens in crisis.  These young people are currently in the care of Sea Haven for Youth in Little River and were treated to a delicious lunch, many desserts, music bingo fun by Crazy Bear Entertainment, as well as awesome gifts and gift cards donated by our own community here in NMB!!  Pictured here are several wonderful counselors at Sea Haven, some of the donors who came to wish the kids a Merry Christmas, and some of the food, gifts, and fun!!

Friday was rocking as Riptide Radio DJ Scott was playing the very best in Beach Music.  The celebration on Friday is amazing, but this Friday was over the top as the beautiful and loved by all, Eileen Henriksen celebrated her birthday.  The dashingly daring duo of Deb Browning and Marlisa Kay Small provided the entertainment.  Photos taken by Dan and Melissa can be found by following the LINK.

Later in the day, Robin made her way to Goodfellas where NMB’s favorite twins, Gary Rash and Terry Rash, were to be treated to a surprise party to celebrate their 70th birthday!!  Many familiar faces were in attendance, and the party was a smash hit!  Unfortunately, Gary was ill and unable to make it in person.  We hope he is feeling much better and wish him well!  Happy 70th Birthday, Terry and Gary!! O.D. Mafia loves ya both!!!

“I hit the beach yesterday where what to my wondering eyes should appear but Santa and Mrs. Claus along with the Grinch and his little dog Max!!  The North Myrtle Beach rescue team brought out the new amphibious rescue boat to give Santa and Mrs. Claus a sweet ride along Ocean Drive Beach!!  The Grinch and Max rode on a bright green jet ski, pulled by the NMB Rescue Truck 88!!  It was a gorgeous day and many beachgoers were treated to this wonderous sight as the parade made its way southward!”

My favorite event leading up to Christmas is the Inner City Slickers Christmas Party hosted by Michael McMeel.  Thank you Michael for allowing Debby and I to assist in this event which overflows with Christmas Spirit.  Two albums of the very happy children and a few pictures of the exhausted volunteers are posted.  Follow this Link.

Christmas at Greg Rowles Legacy Theater was nothing short of spectacular, as Greg Rowles once again proved why he’s known for the best entertainment in the Southeast. Sunday night, the legendary Embers, featuring the incomparable Craig Woolard, lit up the stage with a performance for the ages. Their Christmas show exceeded all expectations, spreading holiday cheer to everyone in the audience. The lovely Melissa Hinson, O.D. Mafia’s very own Sugar Plum Fairy, was there to capture the magic and excitement that Craig Woolard brings to every performance.

A few friends gathered to Celebrate the Photographers, both past and present of O.D. Mafia and our recent O.D. Mafia Exhibit at the North Myrtle Beach Museum.  For the past 25 years we’ve been taking pics and have never tired of capturing the moments.  Thanks to everyone for visiting our site.  Marlisa Kay Small and Dan Summitt announced that a brick would be placed outside the Museum in honor of Melissa Hinson for her enormous contributions to O.D. Mafia.  Also, each attendant was given a stuffed animal and charged with presenting it to a needy child.  It was a fun night and a big shout to my wife Debby, Marlisa, Melissa, Dennis, Peggy, Bennett, Malcolm and Kaitlyn for planning and preparing for the party.  We can’t say enough about Justin and Annie of Goodfella’s for catering the event.  Everything exceeded our expectations.
