Another Thursday and North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation did it again. They brought in undoubtedly one of the hottest bands in the southeast. Too Much Sylvia is an OD Mafia favorite which always brings fun, excitement and tons of talent to ever one of their events. Last night was certainly not a disappointment. These guys lit it up (brighter than the lightning which encouraged us to leave a little early. These guys will be back at Deckerz on Sunday. Don’t miss them.

Mr Peabody’s WayBack Machine returns us to September 2011. Hip Pocket is making their debut at Boom Booms (now Boardwalk Billy’s). All of the locals are there. Please feel free to repost and tag yourself in the photos.
WOW! What away to end the week. The dangerously delightful duo of Deb Browning and Marlisa Small at one of ODMafia’s favorite restaurants, Buoys On The Boulevard. (You have to try their Shaggin’ Shrimp). While our favorite female duo were delivering harmonies from heaven, our country crooner, Jeff James was bringing the country to Deckerz Bar & Grill. Deckerz, another ODMafia fav and one of ODMafia’s past DJ locations (love the locals). While our local stars were shining bright, ODMafia’s very own star, Melissa Hinson was not only capturing capturing smiles and memories, she was bringing sunshine to the dark of night. Way to go Melissa. Great Photos.
The formers brought their outstanding musical review to Duck’s Night Life and brought the fun and excitement that only they can bring to the stage. Our very own photo princess was there to capture it all to film. And let’s not dare forget Len Dallas bringing his ever popular karaoke show to Duck’s Sidewalk Cafe.

Parks and Recreation knocked it out of the park when they booked the Main Event Band for the cities Music On Main Thursday evening event. Main Event is a crowd favorite and they certainly didn’t disappoint. OD Mafia’s very own Melissa Hinson brought her camera and pockets full of her lovely smiles that she shared with everyone. I thought it might be nice to go back in time. Today’s date, the year 2010. The place was the original HOTO’s. It was an OD Local picnic featuring Mark Roberts and Breeze. These were great times.

When someone asks me where to go to listen to good beach music, I tell them to check the Entertainers or the Catalinas schedule, there are others, but these two bands have stayed true to their roots and their playlist consists primarily of the music we grew up listening to. NMB Parks and Recreation hit a home run Thursday when they booked the Catalinas for their Music on Main event. The huge crowd danced and sang along with almost every song. The Catalinas are certainly an ODMafia favorite.
