The threat of rain did not deter the faithful Duck’s Sidewalk Locals that always show for a “team drink” and to hear the country legend of Main Street, Ricky T. The City of North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation certainly got it right with this selection for their Music on Main entertainment when they chose Thomas Road. These musicians owned the horse shoe from the first note they played. Although weather threatened a great crowd showed to listen to the unique sound of Thomas Road. From Duck’s Sidewalk Cafe to the Horse Shoe our one and only Photo Princess captured the fun and excitement that is Main Street. Even though September is upon us the “beach season” is never over. Always something fun happening at North Myrtle Beach. Thanks Pam, great photos.

The Malarkey Brothers were at HOTO’s Tuesday and brought a truck load of fun with them. It’s great to see the band and hearing Albert Roger sing is a treat in itself. Our Miss Sunshine and Smiles, Melissa Hinson was there to capture the night in film. Dan was there also and snapped a few pics too. Photos are posted.

Melissa filled her pockets with sunshine and smiles, grabbed her camera, and set out on her journey. With stops at Patio’s, HOTO’s, the Spanish Galleon and Duck’s night life Melissa captured the Saturday fun and excitement from Little River to Main Street. Another great time at HOTO’s as one of my favorite group of musicians got together for fun and play and a little music in between. The Malarkey Brothers always bring a paper poke full of fun with them where ever they play. Last night was no exception. Casey on guitar & vocals, Jim on keyboard & vocals, and Albert Rogers on bass and vocals are a great combination. Anytime I hear Tupelo Honey and Satisfy My Soul by Albert I pull Debby a little closer and feel kind of warm and fuzzy inside. I love these guys (in a manly sorta way).

Two of my favorite DJ’s were at Fat Harold’s Beach Club, the last true shag and beach club on the strand. Jay Kinlaw and Eddie Anderson was pumping out the tunes and of course they kept the dance floor hopping. Wednesday is the new Friday at Fat Harold’s. Stop by and say hello to Jay. Tell him the O.D.
