O.D. Mafia’s Miss Cute & Sassy, Melissa Hinson brought a pocketful of rainbows and smiles to Duck’s Night Life where the exciting Thomas Road Band was entertaining their boot-stompin’ fans. Thomas Road has a unique country-rock sound that always brings the crowd to their feet and Melissa was there to capture on film the rousing, raw emotions that Thomas Road puts into every song, and of course, Melissa always adds a little excitement of her own. What a great line-up for TR’s Cancer Fighters 16th Annual Oyster Roast. Opening the show was the world-renown Embers featuring the gazillion times CBMA Male Vocalist of the Year recipient, Craig Woolard. Next up, the fantastic Castaways with multiple CBMA Female Vocalist of the Year Karen Clayton (if they gave awards for the most electric personalities and million-dollar smiles, she would win for that also.) To close the afternoon Thomas Road brought everyone to their feet with their rockin’ country sound. I love this band. This fundraiser was a great success thanks to the effort of Timmy Ray, Sheila, their great staff, all the wonderful volunteers and the generous sponsors. Thanks guys, you’re great.
Photo Images from today’s preparation for Timmy Ray’s Cancer Fighters 16th Annual Oyster Roast. It was a labor of love and a well oiled machine when volunteers gathered at Timmy Ray and Sheila Davis’ home this morning to wash, trim, peel, slice, dice, fill, simmer, cook, and clean in preparation for a feast with nearly 1000 guests under the Big Top on Main Street tomorrow for our community’s largest charitable fundraising event!! The group got it done, and will reconvene tomorrow morning to set up and further prepare for the Big Event!! I received this from our beautiful and artistically blessed photographer Robin Cloud. I couldn’t say it any better. Thanks Robin.

The upcoming “TR’s Cancer Fighter Oyster Roast” marks the 16th year of this great fundraiser. Timmy Ray and Sheila Davis has grown this worth wild fund raiser that began at their home and has evolved into a go to event at North Myrtle Beach. We’re looking forward to the the Oyster Roast Saturday but thought it might be fun to look last years program featuring Jim Quick & Coastline, Southside Saints, and the Cat5 Band.
