It’s good to be out and about during SOS. Our first stop was at Tail Gate’s where the very delightfully-dangerous duo of Deb Browning and Marlisa Small were captivating the large group of fans that came out on this beautiful fall-like day. While at Tail Gate’s we tried their Smash Burger. Loved it. We moved on the Main Street for a stop at Deckerz Bar & Grill where playing was the Carolina Coast Band with Ricky Godfrey and the super-lovely Rhonda McDaniel (hey Rhonda, we love your new hair style). From there we ventured to Duck’s Night Life where CAT5 was at full strength, this groups talent is only exceeded by the members personalities. Genuinely good guys one and all.
Truthfully, our last stop was my favorite. We stopped into Melts for a cup of their ice cream. Absolutely none better. Photos of the bands and party people are posted. Check them out HERE.
No better band at the beach than the Tonez and they were in beast mode Thursday night at the world-renown Spanish Galleon. Great band, Super venue. The only thing that could have (and did) make the night better was for our very own Ms. Star Shine to make an appearance with her pockets full of fun and smiles. 
There’s no better way to kick-off an SOS than by sharing a smile with our Ambassador of Fun and Excitement Melissa Hinson. Melissa started her evening by stopping by Local On the Water where the mainstay of Beach Music, the Embers featuring Craig Woolard were lighting up the evening with melodies both new and old. She captured smiles and gave a lot away herself.

Took a little time to visit Main Street on Wednesday. This is not really a day known for downtown excitement unless you know where to look and who to follow. Deckerz Bar & Grill had an O.D. Mafia favorite, Jeff James on their outside deck Jeff delivers whenever and where ever he performs. If you like classic country, check him out. You won’t be disappointed.
Cat 3 Hurricane Idalia had no sooner moved off shore when CAT5 came barreling into the horseshoe in North Myrtle Beach with a rockin’ fury. Tim, Jerry, Glenn, Camron and Allan, Whether it’s rock, beach, country or pop this band electrifies the crowd with their hi-energy, super charged sound. ODMafia’s Miss Sunshine and lollipops brought a ton of smiles with her as she captured the fun and excitement that is undoubtedly Cat5. To top off the excitement our delightfully dangerous Melissa Kay Small joined Jerry in their rendition of “Love Really Hurts Without You”. 
Thursday was arguably the best weather we’ve had in months. Moderate temperatures and an ocean breeze was the perfect setting for an evening concert. And it was a storm-chaser’s dream as North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation brought Music On Main featuring Cat5 to the horseshoe. Accompanying Cat5 was our very own dashingly beautiful lightning strike Marlisa Kay Small. Jerry West’s and Marlisa’s “Love Really Hurts Without You” wowed the super large crowd. 
O.D. Mafia freelance photographer Melissa Hinson and her bag full of smiles and sunshine made a short trip north to Ocean Isle where Cat5 was bringing thunder, lightning and a lot of fun to the Ocean Isle Concert Series. Long time OD Mafia member, the lovely Pam McClure also accompanied Melissa and Marlisa and snapped a bunch of these photos. Thanks Pam. Also our delightfully dangerous Marlissa Small was there to perform Her’s and Jerry’s rendition of “Love Really Hurts Without You”. 
Marty McFly revved the Delorean and back to the past we went to 2019 August 24th, the venue Duck’s Night Life, the band Tim Elliott Band the Photographer, forever O.D. Mafia, my friend, Michael Jumper. 
What better way to prepare gift bags for the golfers in Marlisa’s Bold & Beautiful Wigs for Cancer Golf Tournament than by having a hot dog party. Randall Hight abandoned his DJ duties and assumed the role of Super Chef as he prepared the dogs with his own Coney Island Hot Dog chile. A fun time for all. Thanks to all that came out to help. It’s Too Much Sylvia at the Calabash Concert Series in Calabash, NC. This has always been a well-planned event spotlighting only the best talent and of course Too Much Sylvia sets the standard for all. This is truly a great show band reminiscent of the bands of the 60’s and 70’s and this band plays it all from beach to today’s pop. 
We bought a condo in North Myrtle Beach in 2005 and I brought my trusty Tahoe down. I set the radio dial to 94.9 the Surf and it hasn’t been changed. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t listen in. This is the beach station. It’s only fitting that The Band of Oz, arguably the best band on the beach circuit was called upon to kick off the Surf’s 25th Year Anniversary/Birthday Bash at the world-famous Spanish Galleon. ODMafia’s purveyor of smiles and sunshine, Melissa Hinson was there to capture the fun and excitement that truly is 94.9 the Surf.
