It was a wild ODMafia weekend as the Entertainers rocked the Spanish Galleon Saturday night.  These guys know how to pack a dance floor.  Catch the Entertainers whenever they are at a venue near you.  You’ll be glad you did.

The Carolina Breakers broke bad at Duck’s Beach and Night Club with their patented Carolina Beach Music Magic.  It was a wild crowd and a wilder night.  Paul Craver and Jason Justice did a masterful job manning the DJ booth.  Duck’s, Where the Party People Party, ODMafia too!

ODMafia – Duck’s Beach and Night Club

ODMafia Photographer Dan Summitt was present at Duck’s Beach Club to capture the fun, laughter, and tears as the Duck Pond was introduced to an elated crowd.  The elevated rear portion of Duck’s has officially been named the Duck Pond in memory of Donnie Kelly.

David Shaw, owner of Duck’s Beach Club also presented checks to the American Heart Association.  One was from the proceeds of The Donnie Kelly “It’s On” First Annual Golf Tournament, the other was from Duck’s Beach Club.

Atlantic Groove played to a packed house and had the place rocking to the early hours of the morning.  Their show was outstanding and the appreciative crowd filled the dance floor.

Gary Lowder – Smokin’ Hot at Ducks  Beach Club – Entertainers at Ocean Isle – Fat Jack Band at Sunset Beach

As you can see, Tim had problems with his camera Sunday night at the North Myrtle Beach Debut of the new band Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot.  We were able to rescue the photos.

Tim ignored the warnings and got to close to the stage during the performance.  Seriously, Tim was able to get some great photos of one of the best and hottest new bands on the beach.  Check out the photos.  Tim,  send Gary a bill for the Camera.  Smokin’ Hot, they’re so hot, they’re radioactive.

Tim has been busy.  He  visited Ocean Isle Beach to get great photos of the Entertainers.  These guys are an ODMafia favorite.  Great guys each and everyone.  The Entertainers have quite a following so I expect to have some good comments regarding these photos.

Tim also traveled to Sunset Beach to photograph the Fat Jack Band.  These guys can put out the Motown Soul like no other.  Check out the Fat Jack Band whenever they are at a venue near you.  A lot of talent is on stage when the Fat Jack Band plays.

We’ve been dashing and flashing in North Myrtle Beach.  Lory, Mike, Tim, Harold and Dan have sacrificed their health (or at least their sobriety) to bring you these photos.  If you see them out be sure to tell them thanks.

Michael Jumper kicked his weekend off with the Holiday Band at Duck’s Beach and Night Club.  What can you say that hasn’t been said about this band?  Great, great guys playing super music.  You’ll always enjoy the show when the Holiday Band is on stage.  Mike’s photos are here.

We’ve uploaded photos of Scott Beasley’s Birthday Party at Deckerz Saturday May 25th.  Scott has just turned 30 plus tax.  Happy Birthday Scott! Please note the photos of the food prepared.  Deckerz Bar and Grill can put out a spread for any event you might have.  ODMafia DJ Dan Summitt opened the days entertainment at Deckerz with a collection of Carolina Beach Classics, Country and Motown Classics.  The Carolina Breakers closed the show with a bang.  Gary Lowder’s rendition of God Bless the USA is the best I’ve ever heard (sorry Mr. Greenwood).  OD Mafia Photographers Lory Rice and Dan Summitt captured the fun.  Check out our photos.

Duck’s Beach and Night Club’s Saturday night offering was the Entertainers.  This group only gets better every time they play.  And that’s a difficult task when you’re as good as these guys are.  They certainly live up to their name.  Catch the Entertainers at a venue near you.  Better yet, plan a trip to the beach and catch them at Duck’s.  You can check our Calendar Page to see when they’ll be back.  Photos are here!

It was a Jim Quick world at Fat Harold’s Beach Club Saturday and an appreciative crowd came to party.  Jim Quick and Coastline have an unmistakable sound that makes Jim and the band perennial favorites.  Whether it’s a beach, blues, country or rock tune you can detect a hint of the Santee Swamp in each number. The Coastline Crazies crowded the stage and were not disappointed in the performance of Jim Quick and Coastline.  Photos are here.

Smokin’ Hot made their North Myrtle Beach debut at Duck’s Beach and Night Club.  This is a new band with tons of experience.  Gary Lowder and Keith Pollard of the Carolina Breakers, Terry Nash and J.K. Loftin, both original members of the CWB and Mark Roberts and Breeze, Dan Thomas the drummer also played with Mark Roberts, Gerald Davis played bass with The Embers for 30 years, and Leroy Harper, Jr (the Godfather of Sax)  played with the late, great James Brown.  You owe it to yourself to catch this band whenever you can.  Meanwhile , check out our photos of Smokin’ Hot! You owe it to yourself to catch this band whenever they are at a venue near you. Smokin’ Hot at Duck’s Night Club

ODMafia reports that Gary Lowder has raised the beach music bar

What happens when music is super-heated beyond known temperatures? The high-octane energy of the sun, sea, and sky is fused with the music to form what we have here today. Smokin’ Hot. Their magic melodies will mesmerize. Let yourself float to the notes.

1:15 and Duck’s is still rocking. The crowd won’t leave and the band won’t stop playing! I made the mistake of standing too close to the stage and almost melted the leather soles of my shoes.

Something I noticed during the break, the bar backs were spraying the dance floor with Pam to keep anyone from burning and sticking to the floor. Leave it to Ducks Beach Club to put safety first.

You owe it to yourself to catch this band whenever they are at a venue near you. Smokin’ Hot, and they are.

ODMafia opens for the Carolina Breakers at Deckerz

It’s a Decker Double Shot of Party and More Party 

ODMafia kicks off the Memorial weekend at Deckerz this afternoon at 3:30.  It’s all about you at Deckerz so come out and let DJ Dan Summitt know what you want to hear.

It’s a Double Shot Saturday as Deckerz brings to you this Memorial Weekend the hottest band on the strand, the Carolina Breakers.  The Breakers will have you on your feet and on the floor all thru the night.  Harmonies as sweet as grandma’s ice tea, vocals stronger than the oceans desire to climb onto the sand.  The Carolina Breakers work their Beach Music Magic tonight at Deckerz at 8 pm.

Come early for lunch and stay for dinner.  The food is great and their bartenders are some of the best on the beach!  Their prices are the best on the beach.

I have it on good authority that the famous (or infamous) YaYa girls will be there!

It’s the little bitty place with the big old party Wednesday night at Lil Bar, as DJ Dan Summitt returns from Bike Week and a Triple Play at Deckerz. Dan plays your favorite Beach, Country, Motown and Line Dance tunes and is happy to take requests.  It’s all about what you want to hear when ODMafia visits Lil Bar.  So come out and support your local tavern.

Remember, No Smoking is now the policy at Lil Bar (although they have a nice smoking deck outside).  The only thing smoking inside will be the dance floor so wear your dancing shoes.  Whether you shag, line dance or just shake your booty it’s all fun.

You’ll meet old friends and make new ones.

Carolina Soul Band at HOTO’s

ODMafia there to capture the 5 Star Performance.

ODMafia visits the Ocean-Front Deck of HOTO’s.  The sun was hot on the deck at HOTO’s but couldn’t compare to the Carolina Soul Band.  This group is pure energy personified.  The heat didn’t affect their performance as they entertained the grateful crowd with Carolina Soul, Carolina Beach and even a little Carolina Country Music.  The talent level of this band is phenomenal.  Check the photos on the ODMafia Photos Page.  Better yet, check out the Carolina Soul Band whenever they’re at a venue near you.

Deckerz Bar and Grill during Bike Week

ODMafia was there to capture the fun as Deckerz Bar and Grill rocked and roared during 2013 Myrtle Beach Bike Week.  Those that  came to celebrate Bike week now knows what the locals have known for a while.  Deckerz is definitely one of the hot spots at the Beach!

Amy and Debbie have done a masterful job in revamping Deckerz into the fun place it is today.  Providing the best in bands, dj’s and karaoke ,  Deckerz has been transformed into  a mecca of fun.  Don’t miss the Sunday afternoon Corn Hole tournament.

But don’t go to Deckerz only for the entertainment.  Their menu has been reworked and fresh is the formula for all their meals.  You’ll not find a better hamburger at any price on the Grand Strand.  The beverages are cold and the prices are right.  The wait-staff is second to none.

Wow!  What a Mayfest.  Maybe the best one ever for ODMafia.  The talent was absolutely amazing.  I have to say the Carolina Soul Band put on a show.  The guys didn’t let the heat get to them.  They laid down the Motown Soul Carolina Style.  People were dancing in the street, on the sidewalks and in their chairs.  This was Motown pumped to the limit and taken to the edge. When at a venue near you, see the Carolina Soul Band.  You will be glad you did.

Carolina Soul Band @ Mayfest  (10 am – 1 pm) The Carolina Soul Band kicks off MayFest with a dynamic, unmatched rhythm .  This group is poised to explode onto the Carolina Beach Scene.  Their talent level is phenomenal.  Join the ODMafia photographers street party on Main.

Mayfest on Main – John Waite  (2:30 pm – 4:30 pm) This British son, probably best known for such hits as “Isn’t It Time?” with the Babys, “When I See You Smile” with Bad English, and his biggest individual smash, “Missing You,” will play Saturday afternoon in North Myrtle Beach’s “Mayfest on Main.”

DJ David Harris @ HOTO’s  (6 pm – 10 pm) It’s the man with the high pockets and low voice, Cammy nominated DJ David Harris manning the DJ Booth at HOTO’s Saturday Night.  David has a 6th sense when it comes to what to play and when to play it.  Check out Harold’s On the Ocean ( The locals call it HOTO’s) and tell David ODMafia sent you!  While there you might want to try their steamed shrimp, hot wings or other items off their menu.  You won’t be disappointed.

Sea Cruz @ Ducks Night Club  (8:30 pm – 12:30 am)  Saturday it’s Butch, Dino, and Allie. Together they are Sea Cruz, one of the hottest bands on the strand.  Where ever they appear they play to a packed house.  You’re not going to believe the amount of “party” in this trio.  ODMafia loves these guys (of course we love Allie the most).  Duck’s, Where the Party people Party!

Wave Karaoke @ Deckerz  (9 pm – 1 am)  Alan Lusk provides the entertainment at Deckerz Bar and Grill.  It’s Karaoke taken to a new level.  You’ll be surprised at the talent of those that participate and you never know who might show up.  It’s always a party at Deckerz Bar and Grill.  Get there early and have dinner.  ODMafia recommends the CHICKEN QUESADILLA.

N-Tranze @ HOTO’s  (3 pm – 7 pm) Today it’s and ODMafia favorite at HOTO’s. N-Tranze owns the ocean-front deck today and believe me, this band is great. Whether it’s R&B, Funk, Rock, Blues, Reggae, Jazz or Classic Soul this band delivers.  This will be a party at Harold’s On the Ocean (the locals call it HOTO’s) in Cherry Grove.

North Tower @ Ducks Night Club  (8:30 pm – 12:30 am)  North Tower has been one of the south’s great party bands for over 30 years, playing  the best in oldies, beach, top 40, and some funky stuff you’re sure to like.  North Tower is a locals favorite and always play to a full house at Duck’s Beach Club. Come out tonight and play where the Party People Party.  Duck’s!

ODMafia Report: Out of the depths of the Atlantic comes a powerful rumble resonating across the waves and beaches.  Many of the locals thought it might be the legendary Kraken awakening.

As the sound grows nearer,  the sound is not that of the Kraken, it’s the drum roll of Dan Thomas as the soon-to-be legendary Smokin’ Hot takes the stage at Duck’s Beach Club.

This is sure to be the hottest debut of any band at Duck’s.  Gary Lowder, J.K. Loflin, Terry Nash,  Keith Pollard, Dan Thomas, Leroy Harper and Gerald Davis.  True professionals one and all.

The fire is burning hotter each day.  Mark you calendar for May 26th and be at Duck’s Beach Club, when we release the Quacken!  It’s going to be a Smokin’ Hot Summer!
