Bruce & Zack Hayes of Hayes Jewelers of Lexington

The Staff and Photographers of ODMafia sends its heartfelt congratulations to Bruce and Zack Hayes and all the fine folks of Hayes Jewelers of Lexington on their 75th Anniversary.  Along with congratulations we want to convey our thanks to the Hayes family for not only being an asset to Davidson County but for being an asset to both Carolinas.

Hayes Jewelers was started in 1939 as a small family jewelry shop by the late Delmar Hayes. Since that time, it has grown to become one of the top Diamond stores on the East Coast. The same family has owned and operated the store since it began and takes pride in their long history of service and satisfaction with every customer.

Nothing makes current owner Bruce Hayes prouder than to hear his store referred to as a Diamond Superstore. Hayes Jewelers is centrally located to most of North Carolina’s larger cities and towns, but don’t be surprised to see many states represented in the large parking area. We are devoted to our customers and they continue to come back year after year. That makes us proud!

In 1983, a third generation Hayes was added to the staff. Zack Hayes joined Hayes Jewelers after graduating from Wake Forest and continuing his education by graduating from GIA in California. Zack also went to The Ray Martin Jewelry repair school in Alabama so he could be in charge of the in-house repairs. Customer service is a key to the success of Hayes Jewelers and having someone there to repair your jewelry is a key advantage.

Hayes Jewelers is conveniently located at the Intersection of Business 85 and Hwy 8 in Lexington, North Carolina, an easy drive from most of North Carolina and more than worth the drive from most of the Southeast.

Ray Scott and Joey Warren were broadcasting live from the infamous “back room” at Fat Harold’s Beach Club.  Ray and Joey have the uncanny ability of knowing what to play and when to play it.  It’s almost if they know what you want to hear.

Benny Huff was on hand to represent Hayes Jewelers of Lexington, NC to insure that each of the partners (Rickey Dennis, Freddie Priest, Ray Scott and Joey Warren) received their own Carolina Beach Music Internet Radio Station Award.

The night is always fun, exciting and full of surprises when Joey are Ray get together.  Check out our photos.

ODMafia Photographer Dan Summitt – Deckerz Bar & Grill

ODMafia photographers were out on Main Street of North Myrtle Beach for a night of fun and great entertainment; dashing and flashing between Deckerz, Duck’s, Fat Harold’s and the Spanish Galleon.

Sea Cruz packed Deckerz Bar and Grill and laid down one fabulous night of music.  Allie, Butch, and Dino are true professionals that were born for the stage.  They captivate their legion of fans with their rock’n fun sound.  Butch’s saxophone play is liquid, clear, and exciting.  Allie’s voice can be described as something between the sound a falling snowflake would make and the roar of a full-blown, supercharged V-8.  Dino brings it all together in his masterful way to make it fun, entertaining and exciting.  Check out our photos.

Rock the Boat Cruise, Jillians, 2001 Nightclub, Duck’s Beach Club

Dale was also at Duck’s and was able to get great shots of Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot.  These guys rocked Duck’s to the rafters.  Great Show.

Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot brought the heat to Duck’s Beach Club for their first Friday Night appearance.  The grateful crowd danced the night away to the powerful rhythms and vocals stronger than Duck’s house vodka and sweeter than Grandma’s iced tea.  Gary couldn’t be contained to the stage and spent most of the night mingling with the crowd as he sang beach, rock, rhythm & blues, along with a little disco and pop.  Gary Lowder could sing the Horry County Phone Book and make it sound like that magical Carolina Beach music we all love.

Terry Nash has to be one of the most talented keyboard players in the southeast.  JK Loftin is unbelievable on the guitar.  When he really gets into jammin’, it’s as if he is having a conversation with the devil (I mean that as a compliment JK)  It was great to see Curly White on bass.  The crowd loved his rendition of Walkin’ the Dog.

If you missed Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot you can catch them when they return to Duck’s Beach Club March 13th.

Great night at Deckerz Bar & Grill as the Fat Jack Duo blasted the place with their marvelous, monster, Motown Sound.

The Fat Jack Band has been filling dance floors throughout the Southeast with their special blend of Beach, Motown and Rhythm and Blues.  The South Carolina Hall of Fame recognized the talent and accomplishments of the Fat Jack Band and inducted them into the Hall in 2003.

The Fat Jack Band has become a crowd favorite at Deckerz Bar and Grill.  They will be back April 3 as part of Deckerz SOS Spring Safari Super Line-Up.

Starting at 8PM it’s King Tyrone’s Tiny Electric Band inside at HOTO’s.  This is a fun bunch to watch.  The closeness and interaction of the band with their fans brings out the wild and zany personality of Jim Quick and the rest of the guys.  You’re going to love this.

Motown Madness breaks out at Deckerz tonight as the Fat Jack Duo takes the stage.  Levi and Will have become fan favorites by playing the best of Motown, Beach, R&B, and Pop.  Come out early and try their burgers, quesadillas, wings, and other tasty things. Happy hour is from 4 till 7, the band takes the stage at 8.

Duck’s Beach and Night Club will be rockin’ tonight as Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot takes the stage at 9pm.  Hear the best of Beach, Motown, R&B, Classic Rock to Today’s Hits.  This group of professional musicians will heat the night with the best music around.  DJ’s Paul Craver and Jason Justice kicks things off at 7:30 from the DJ Booth.  The band will start at 8:30 or so.

Mr. Bruce Hayes of Hayes Jewelers of Lexington was honored last night (February 19) at the Living Legends of Auto Racing Banquet at Daytona Beach, FL. Bruce was presented the Allison Family Corporate Award (given in memory of Clifford and Davey Allison) by Bobby and Donnie Allison for his contributions and commitment to stock car racing.

Hayes Jewelers and Bruce Hayes have been involved with NASCAR as a sponsor, car owner and even a track owner at one time.

“I was really surprised,” Hayes says. “There are some impressive people involved with that organization and then Hayes Jewelers comes along and get an award, I think that’s pretty good. We’ve been a part of NASCAR from the time they started (in 1948) as far as sponsorships and things like that. I think it was a great gesture on their part to honor us.

The Entertainers – The Band Punch – Fat Jack Band Duo

The Entertainers turned it on Friday night at Duck’s Beach and Night Club and Michael Jumper was there to capture the moments.  The group of professional musicians that make the Entertainers one of the premiere party bands held nothing back as they rocked Ducks with their own brand of beach, classic rock, disco and pop.  Whether new or old these guys do it and do it well.

The Fat Jack Band Duo returned to Deckerz with their unique Motown sound.  The dance floor was full all night as Will and Levi performed a variety of hits, both past and present.  Their Saturday night performance at Deckerz demonstrated why the Cammy Award winning Fat Jack Band is a member of the South Carolina Rhythm and Blues/ Beach Music Hall of Fame.

Duck’s Beach Club presented a PUNCH Saturday night that could have taken out Evander Holyfield.  The Band Punch packs a wallop.  The eight professional musicians that make up The Band Punch scored a technical knock-out as they played hit after hit.  This band can and does play a little bit of everything, from your Classic Carolina Beach favorites to the latest from Bruno Mars.  ODMafia will certainly catch The Band Punch whenever they are at a near venue.  We suggest you do the same.  You won’t be disappointed.
