Tonight’s performance at Captain Archie’s of Jim Quick & Coastline demonstrated why Jim Quick has won over a billion CBMA Entertainer of the Year Awards.  This man’s persona and stage presence can be felt throughout the venue.  You can’t help but have a great time.  When Jim, Casey, and Albert are on stage there is no better front line on the planet.  And what can anyone say about their keyboard player, he should truly be considered for instrumentalist of the year.  And yes, Debby and I had a great time.  You can’t help but have a great time when Jim Quick & Coastline is in the house.

It was a double shot Friday at the multiple CBMA award winning Deckerz Bar & Grill as Hall of Fame DJ Ray Scott of Riptide Radio did his Friday live-stream from the fun Deck of Deckerz.  This is a “Friday thing to do” for both Locals and visitors whenever you’re at the beach.  To add icing to the cake, the fantastic and super talented BackLine Band followed the broadcast with their varied playlist that had the large crowd on their feet.

One of the largest crowds of the season turned for Music On Main, a weekly event organized by North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation and held throughout the warmer months.  The reason for the large crowd???  The multiple-award-winning Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot owned the stage.  This was one of the finest performances in the history of Music On Main.  Gary has been recognized as the CBMA vocalist of the year and the band has been recognized with many awards.  Catch Gary and Smokin’ Hot at a venue near you.

A hint of Autumn was in the air Tuesday which made for a perfect night to visit Captain Archie’s. The fantastic BackLine Band was on stage, and they had the place rocking. The BackLine Band has an uncanny ability to know what you want to hear and when to play it. The flounder was cooked to perfection and the service was super. The venue, the band, food, service and the perfect date made for an enjoyable evening.

What a fun night at Captain Archie’s!!!  The Holy Spikots were there and fun and excitement poured across the stage.  Jim Quick has more charisma and charm than a truck load of puppies, Albert is the king of blue-eyed-soul and Casey is an out-of the-box wizard that also plays the guitar.  This much talent on one stage is illegal in some countries.  Hey, did I mention the food at Captain Archie’s is great.  It took both Melissa and I to capture the magical moments that the Holy Spikots generate!!!

The charismatic country crooner, Jeff James was again at Maxwell’s/Billy the Kid’s for the ever-popular Tuesday Date Night.  Maxwell’s Tuesday Date Night Special is the prime rib but they also have a menu that includes sandwiches and seafood that is great.  I particularly like their shrimp & flounder combination with onion rings.  Jeff’s playlist includes George, Waylon, Merle, and other legendary performers and he also works in a little classic rock which his fans appreciate.  Occasionally he is joined by our Bold & Beautiful Marlisa Kay Small for a few songs.  Catch the fun at Maxwell’s/Billy the Kid’s every Tuesday.
