The final “Music on Main” of 2025 wrapped up with an electrifying performance by the multi-CBMA-Award-winning Gary Lowder and his Smokin’ Hot Horns. Despite the daytime heat, the evening brought a refreshing cool breeze from the ocean, creating an ideal atmosphere. The massive crowd danced the night away as the lively music resonated through downtown. O.D. Mafia’s photographer Dan Summitt was there to capture the fun to film.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and The Shoe Center upheld its tradition by bringing another top-notch band to its SOS lineup. Rivermist delivered an amazing performance, proving to be a fun and talented party band, much to the delight of the enormous crowd. The ever-cheerful and lively Melissa Hinson was there with her camera, capturing moments with a smile, while Dan Summitt contributed a few shots as well.
The Shoe Center truly deserves major recognition from Beach Music fans. For years, they have showcased top-tier groups during SOS, and this year was no different. Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot, who have been nominated for countless Carolina Beach Music Awards, were the featured band. Their performance drew a massive crowd, including the talented Melissa Hinson from O.D. Mafia.

Argh!!! The pirates were out and about at Goodfella’s on 2nd for their monthly Jeep Night. This is a fun event but not exclusive to Jeep owners. All are welcome to come out and participate in the fun. Ricky T spins the tunes and the party is both inside and outside of Goodfella’s. The massive crowd was on their feet, dancing to the mesmerizing horns and feeling the pulse of the driving bass. Gary Lowder’s powerful vocals turned the early afternoon into an unforgettable show.

Fun Monday started with a bang as Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot took the stage, followed by the East Coast Party Band. The legendary Godfather of Beach Music, Jackie Gore, joined East Coast for a few songs, thrilling the massive crowd. The Swinging Medallions wrapped up the event with their signature high-energy performance. O.D. Mafia’s Ms. Sunshine and Summertime was on hand to capture the unforgettable moments on film.
A heartfelt and well-attended vigil took place Tuesday night in memory of Charlie Kirk on Ocean Drive Beach, near the Horseshoe on Main Street. Speakers from various backgrounds shared touching stories about Charlie’s influence on their lives and faith. The crowd came together to sing “Amazing Grace,” led by a fellow attendee, and “God Bless the USA,” led by Gary Lowder. Many brought flowers, American flags, and photos of Charlie to honor his memory. The NMB Police Department provided support, and the patriotic Robin Cloud was present to capture the event in photos.
One of my favorite bands, The Pink Slips lit up the afternoon at Deckerz Bar & Grill. From play selection to performance, this band has it all. A true party band. O.D. Mafia’s Ms. Sunshine and Summertime was there to add to the excitement while snapping a few hundred photos.

The premier Beach Music Band, The Entertainers, performed at the Shoe Center, drawing the large crowd they always attract. During SOS, the Shoe Center transforms into a Beach Music mecca, hosting only the best bands for their parking lot party concerts. The lovely Ms. Sunshine and Summertime, Melissa Hinson, was there to capture the fun that follows the ‘Tainers wherever they go.
The delightfully dynamic duo of Deb Browning and Marlisa Kay Small filled the outside deck at Deckerz Bar & Grill with enchanting melodies. Meanwhile, Melissa and Dan teamed up as a photographers’ duo to capture all the fun and excitement.
O.D. Mafia’s very own Ms Sunshine and Lollipops, Melissa Hinson brought a pocket full of smiles as well as her camera to the solemn and uplifting 9-11 Ceremony held at the horseshoe in North Myrtle Beach. Melissa captured the serenity, fun, and soulfulness the program. The Embers were a great addition to the program.
North Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area come together this time of year to honor the heroes and victims of this dark day in American history. We gather to remember the fallen and celebrate the heroes that rose from the ash. And to do that we become one spirit, strong in our belief that America can withstand any storm. We do that in prayer and song, Craig Woolard was the intelligent, insightful person to lead us in song. The Embers featuring Craig Woolard provided inspiration to the largest Music on Main Celebration that this writer can remember. O.D. The Blood Connection donation bus came to Deckerz where a dozen locals donated life saving blood! After the successful blood drive was another fun Golf Cart Appreciation event, sponsored by Gone Coastal North! Mark McKinney and Co followed, with much fun had by all!! The lovely and talented Robin Cloud was there to capture the fun and excitement that reigns supreme at Deckerz Bar & Grill.

The Tonez were the guest performers at Music on Main, and this talented group truly rocked the stage. This is a real party band that gets your pulse racing with the beat of the drums and the thump of the bass. The stunning Laura Kepley captivates and energizes the crowd with her incredible talent and the dynamic energy she brings to the stage. Jonathan Treece wows the audience with his outstanding vocals and exceptional guitar play. Laura and Jonathan are surrounded by a group of remarkable musicians and vocalists. The huge crowd that came to the weekly event left with a smile on their face and a feeling of excitement in their hearts.
