O.D. Mafia freelance photographer Melissa Hinson and her bag full of smiles and sunshine made a short trip north to Ocean Isle where Cat5 was bringing thunder, lightning and a lot of fun to the Ocean Isle Concert Series. Long time OD Mafia member, the lovely Pam McClure also accompanied Melissa and Marlisa and snapped a bunch of these photos. Thanks Pam. Also our delightfully dangerous Marlissa Small was there to perform Her’s and Jerry’s rendition of “Love Really Hurts Without You”. PHOTOS can be viewed here.
Marty McFly revved the Delorean and back to the past we went to 2019 August 24th, the venue Duck’s Night Life, the band Tim Elliott Band the Photographer, forever O.D. Mafia, my friend, Michael Jumper. To go back in time. Click Here.
What better way to prepare gift bags for the golfers in Marlisa’s Bold & Beautiful Wigs for Cancer Golf Tournament than by having a hot dog party. Randall Hight abandoned his DJ duties and assumed the role of Super Chef as he prepared the dogs with his own Coney Island Hot Dog chile. A fun time for all. Thanks to all that came out to help. See you Saturday. Photos are here.
It’s Too Much Sylvia at the Calabash Concert Series in Calabash, NC. This has always been a well-planned event spotlighting only the best talent and of course Too Much Sylvia sets the standard for all. This is truly a great show band reminiscent of the bands of the 60’s and 70’s and this band plays it all from beach to today’s pop. Photos can be found by following this link.
We bought a condo in North Myrtle Beach in 2005 and I brought my trusty Tahoe down. I set the radio dial to 94.9 the Surf and it hasn’t been changed. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t listen in. This is the beach station. It’s only fitting that The Band of Oz, arguably the best band on the beach circuit was called upon to kick off the Surf’s 25th Year Anniversary/Birthday Bash at the world-famous Spanish Galleon. ODMafia’s purveyor of smiles and sunshine, Melissa Hinson was there to capture the fun and excitement that truly is 94.9 the Surf. Photos available at by following this link. Thanks for stopping by.
O.D. Mafia photos of the Friday afternoon RipTide Radio Deck Party featuring DJ Ray Scott taken by OD Mafia photographer Dan Summitt are posted and available for viewing and or downloading.

Today is the 25th Anniversary of 94.9 the Surf and the party is at the TIKI BAR. ODMafia Photographers Melissa Hinson and Dan Summitt stopped by to celebrate the very best radio station in the world’s birthday bash. While there, Dan and Melissa presented Marlisa Kay Small her very own flag to join the others at Surf Central. Marlisa is well known for her work with cancer patients and she is a great singer with a voice as strong as grandpa’s white liquor and as sweet as grandma’s ice tea. Check out the PHOTOS, follow this link.
Today’s Way-Back Machine, Mr Peabody & Sherman takes us to the year 2017, It’s St Patrick’s Day at Deckerz and North Myrtle Beach. Too Much Sylvia and two of the best guys I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, Willie and Levi aka as the Fat Jack Duo own the stage.

Our lovely Melissa Hinson delivered baskets full of smiles and sunshine to “Local On the Water “. While there she captured great photos of the ever-popular BlackWater. It’s really great to see Dale and the guys out and about.

Last night while enjoying Deb Browning and Marlisa’s performance we were discussing Patio’s “Bras Across Patios” event scheduled for October 7th. Pam McClure reminded us all of another event. This are those photos. For Mature Audiences (lol)

It was a warm day but a cool breeze was blowing at Patio’s. Deb Browning and Marlisa (both multiple Carolina Beach Music Award nominees) had those heavenly harmonies working. A large Monday night crowd was in attendance and all could be singing along, tapping their feet and having a great time. Kimmie, the tangerine (sic) player was the hit of the evening. Marlisa brought everyone to their feet with her rendition of “God Bless the USA”, Lee Greenwood, take a seat! This delightfully dangerous duo has it going on.

It was a super evening at the VFW Post 10804. Deborah Hartleroad and all the volunteers presented a great fundraiser and dinner to raise money to assist military families. To top the evening off the lovely, super talented, and rising star nominee Marlisa Small provided the entertainment. It was obvious from the very start that the large crowd loved her as much as the rest of us do. And as Marlisa frequently does, her fee and tips were donated back to the VFW. Gotta love this girl.
A few photos from the night can be found here.
One of the highlights of my DJ career (and thanks to you guys they were many) was emceeing, opening and playing during the breaks of some of my favorite performers. One of my favorites was BILLY SCOTT. Billy could light up a venue like no other. He could entertain by his presence. I had the privilege of working with Billy on several occasions. Posted are photos from Fall SOS 2012.

Our lovely Melissa was out and about Friday passing out smiles and sunshine. No one does it better. Melissa’s first stop was at Deckerz for the Riptide Radio Deck Party featuring DJ Ray Scott .. Then on to Duck’s for one of O.D. Mafia’s favorite’s Jeff James (OK, I’m a country fan). I recognized some of our own local stars at both locations. Thanks, Melissa.

Time Traveling Again with Marty McFly. Todays journey takes us back to November of 2010. The place is Boom Boom’s Raw Bar (yes, I know we travel back to Boom Boom’s a lot). One of the greatest bands, made up of some of the greatest musicians (three are presently working professionally with big name bands in Nashville). The personality of this band has yet to be matched by anyone. Enjoy photos of The Craig Woolard Band!!! Photos can be found by following this link.
