I am extremely proud to be nominated for the CBMA Michael Branch Award. More than anything, I am grateful for the recognition of ODMafia. Anything we do is a group effort and I am very pleased that the work of Michael Jumper, Tim Smith, Debby Summitt, Harold Small, Donna Cotton Mills, Dale King, Alan Lusk, Heath and Josh Brown are noticed and appreciated. We work hard to preserve our life in flip-flop philosophy and try to promote the bands and clubs equally. We love live music and try to promote the establishments that bring us all the bands. It’s great to be part of Carolina Beach Music. Thanks again for the nomination. I love you guys and girls. You made my day.

Hunter Huss High School held their Annual Beach Blast at the fabulous Ocean Drive Beach and Golf Resort. Activities were held at the OD Pavilion, the OD Beach Club and of course, the Beach. Saturday night was the Main Event headlined by the Magnificents. Photos taken by ODMafia’s Dan Summitt are posted.
Ricky T was at Duck’s Sidewalk Cafe and certainly had his many friends and fans turnout for another great performance. If you don’t understand “Team Drink” catch Ricky T at Duck’s. He’ll ‘splain it to you.
It’s a parking lot party at Deckerz anytime the weather allows. Last

Spare Change has become a regular at Duck’s Beach Club and the locals crowd is grateful. This is one of the most versatile bands around playing beach, rock, country, R&B and pop. Amazingly, this band plays them all well. Pics are up.
Ocean Isle has done a great job in bringing in the best talent for their concert series and they didn’t disappoint today. This time it’s the one and only king of the beach, Jim Quick & Coastline. Their show is always a Quick-fix of high energy entertainment infused with 100 proof Santee Swamp water. Today was no different. What a show! The Tommy Black Band featuring Christina Cooper Black introduced songs from their new album to the appreciative fans at Duck’s Beach Club.
It was truly “A Beautiful Day in North Myrtle Beach” as the band performed what is destined to become a Carolina Beach Music Classic. This song was written and sung by Tommy Black. His talent as a singer and songwriter is abundantly obvious as the lyrics paint a beautiful picture of the area that we love.
Christina’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston will leave you spellbound. Houston, we have a problem. Christina Cooper Black is on stage. She also performed “Proud Mary” as only she can. If you have ever seen Christina do this song you know that she pulls the crowd into the show. It was a night to remember. Expect more from this band. They will not disappoint.

Weston Wilson had his Deckerz debut and received a warm welcome. This is a very talented young man that sings, plays guitar and keyboard. I think we’ll see Weston again. We have several photos of him posted to our website. Check them out.
The clouds parted and the sun came out in time to allow the Rick Strickland Band to setup on the Deck at 
Deckerz Bar & Grill and Rick and his crew rocked it. It was great to be outside. Be sure to watch for Deckerz Parking lot parties whenever you’re at North Myrtle Beach. We all celebrated the birthday of our 
dear friend Heath Brown but none of us celebrated as hard as he did. It’s safe to say we all had a great time. I would liked to have seen Heath’s face this morning when he looked in the mirror and saw his new earring. Priceless!

Tommy & Christina Cooper Black were the celebrity guests of 94.9 the Surf’s live broadcast of their weekly Sunday afternoon Beach Party. The Beach Party is live from the Tiki Deck of the OD Beach Club at the fabulous OD Beach & Golf Resort. You never know who might stop in. The Beach Party is four hours of great music, fun & prizes. BlackWater Rhythm & Blues Band provided the entertainment at Harold’s on the Ocean in beautiful Cherry Grove, SC. This is one of the largest bands on the Beach Music circuit providing a full-bodied sound that makes you want to dance. This is live music at it’s best. Pictures are on-line.
The outside deck at Deckerz Bar & Grill is the Sunday evening home to Ricky T. A locals favorite, Ricky adds a unique country flavor to your treasured Beach, Country, R&B, & Classic Rock hits. Team Drink!
The Embers featuring Craig Woolard wowed the fans at the Fourth of July Celebration in Faith, 
NC. Providing a mixture of Classic Carolina Beach and latest pop hits, the band kept the audience on its feet. You only had to hear “I Love Beach Music” to know that with Craig Woolard up front, the Embers of old are back and better than ever.
What can I say about Jim Quick & Coastline that hasn’t already been said and written thousands of 
times? Jim is the consummate singer/entertainer that has surrounded himself with gifted, talented musicians that know how to have a good time. Somehow, they have perfected the formula for fun and developed a sound and style that is as unique and recognizable as Jim himself. You don’t “watch” a Coastline show, Jim makes you feel like you’re part of the performance. Watch for the new Jim Quick & Coastline CD, their working on it now. WooHoo! Pics are up.
