Photos of the Attraction Band rocking the Horse Shoe between OD Pavilion and the OD Beach and Golf Resort are posted.  These guys promised Vintage Beach Music and they delivered.  The crowd showed their appreciation by filling the parking lot with dance.  Pictures are on-line!

It was another Hip Pocket party at Duck’s Beach Club as the guys turned up the party to a 13 on a scale of 10.  It is unbelievable at the fun these guys bring with them.  How do you get 10 pounds of party in a 5 pound bag? Ray Scott brings his zany personality and vast knowledge of beach music to you every afternoon from 1pm to 5pm.  His high-energy style is extremely contagious and makes for a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Deckerz – OD Beach Club

ODMafia DJ Dan Summitt was at Deckerz Bar & Grill playing your favorite Beach, Classic Rock, & Country tunes.  The weather was great on the deck, at Deckerz. We appreciate everyone that come out and spent the afternoon with us.  It’s always great to see old friends and make new ones.  Also, thanks to everyone that purchased the red ODMafia women’s tees and our brand new koozies.  All profits goes straight to the ODMafia camera fund.

Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot was inside and they rocked Deckerz to the rafters.  This band is putting out some serious energy.  The interaction between the band and their fans is epic.  You could feel the heat radiate through out the club.

It was the Tommy Black Band featuring Christina Cooper Black at the OD Beach Club inside the beautiful OD Beach & Golf Resort.  This was a repeat performance for the band as they were there both Friday and Saturday Night.  Back to Back Tommy Black!  These guys play it all and do so masterfully.

June 6th, 1944

Normandy, France – Project Overlord

The morning of June 6th, 1944 saw the largest Amphibious Operation of all time take place.  Almost 7,000 naval ships and more than 150,000 troops crossed the English Channel to free France (and Europe) from the stranglehold of Hitler’s Germany.  Allied casualties were over 10,000 although that number is only an estimate and casualties is believed to be much higher.  Four thousand four hundred and thirteen servicemen were lost.

WWII changed the world more than any event of the twentieth century.  It is unimaginable to think of what would have happened if Hitler had been allowed to continue his atrocities.

The Holiday Band was laying down the party time at 2001 Night Club.  Michael Jumper was dashing and flashing for ODMafia.  As you can see from the photos, everyone was having a great time.

Too Much Sylvia brought their craziness to Main Street and Duck’s Beach and Night Club.  It’s always too much fun when Too Much Sylvia is in town.  A boatload of talent, add equal parts fun, with a splash of mayhem and you’ve got a Too Much Sylvia performance.

Deckerz Bar & Grill, Duck’s Beach Club & Sidewalk Café, OD Beach Club

ODMafia photographer and DJ Dan Summitt was at Deckerz Bar & Grill yesterday playing beach, country, and wayback rock to warm-up the crowd for the main event, Sea Cruz. Allie, Butch and the multi-talented Dino Fair rocked Deckerz with their own brand of beach, boogie, and blues. This band is about to go their separate ways, but like the Phoenix, I am expecting and hoping for a glorious rebirth. The Sea Cruz brand has been around too long to fade away. Dino, we have faith and confidence in you. Take a lesson from Nike, Just Do It!.

Next stop, Duck’s Sidewalk Café. This venue is quickly becoming a favorite of locals and tourists due to entertainers such as Ricky T. Ricky is a locals favorite, his inter-action with the crowd brings them back and attracts the newbies. It’s impossible not to have fun on the sidewalk in front of Duck’s Beach Club. Stop by and have a “Team Drink”, if you don’t have one it’s not Ricky T’s fault.

As we walked toward the ocean, past Beach Memories where we spoke with Zackary and petted Stowe, past International Café and Georgio’s where we stopped for the best pizza in North Myrtle Beach (stop by, tell them ODMafia sent you) we noticed that the temperature was steadily rising. As we neared the OD Beach Club it was obvious as to why. Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot was on stage with their high-octane,
energy packed performance. Recently replacing fossil fuel as the chief cause of global warming on the EPA’s most hazardous list Gary & Smokin’ Hot has taken the area by storm.

The Little River Blue Crab Festival is an annual event that takes place along the historic waterfront in scenic Little River South Carolina.  This was the 33rd year the event has been held.  ODMafia photographer Dan Summitt took a few photos while strolling and enjoying the sights, sounds and smells.
