Visited the Little River American Legion to check out Deb Browning and Jolly Mon. The Legion loves this duo and I can understand why. It was great to hang out with Marlisa, Vickie, Randy, Deb and the Jolly Mon.

After leaving the Legion our next stop was Deckerz Bar and Grill for the Riptide Radio Friday Deck Party. Ray and Scott was off the chain with great music and good stories.

The second Saturday of each month the VFW hosts the Quilts of Valor ceremony. The Quilts of Valor is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.” I am very proud of the one presented me last year. The place, Captain Archie’s water-front restaurant, bar, club, and all around happy-goodtime-hangout. The band, Cat 5, it doesn’t get stronger than Cat 5 and this group made land fall at Archie’s with a boat load of talent. The individual talent of these individuals are only out-weighed by their personalities. It’s hard not to like Cat 5. And there to top off an already good evening was our cute and sassy Melissa to capture all the fun and excitement on film. The management and staff of Archie’s does a fantastic job making this a welcoming place for locals and visitors. Check them out!!!

Friday was a great evening at Local On The Water as 2021 Male Vocalist of the Year, Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot took charge of the waterfront stage at Local On The Water and our very own Melissa was there to capture the magical moments. Deckerz was rockin’ as Riptide Radio Hall of Fame DJ Ray Scott brought the right stuff to Deckerz Bar & Grill. It was a little breezy but sunny and warm and the music was movin’ and groovin’. You know that Spring has arrived when Ricky T moves his show outside to the Sidewalk Cafe at Duck’s Night Life. One of the most accomplished, professional, entertaining bands on the circuit, The Entertainers brought their musical magic to Duck’s. When the Entertainers take the stage, you automatically smile inside. One of ODMafia’s favorites. Also, Michael Jumper’s camera was retired last night and now has a place in the Duck Pond.

Murphys on the ocean at Cherry Grove pulled all the stops for their Veterans Day Celebration. The revelry started at noon with ODMafia DJ Dan Summitt cranking out the tunes to our locals, visitors, and staff of the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center. The crowd grew through-out the day in anticipation of the turbo-charged, extraordinary band ROOT 65 and Squirrels world-renown barbecue. Dan finished his day by playing “God Bless the USA” to the flag waving crowd and ROOT 65 immediately kicked off their super show by singing the “Star Spangled Banner”. It gave me chills. The staff of Murphys took care of all of us with their exceptional service to which we all have become accustomed. The manager of Murphys, Deborah Mason arranged a great day for all of us. Thanks Deborah for your time and effort invested not only in this day but each and every day at Murphys that has made it one of the premiere clubs of North Myrtle Beach!!!

Veteran’s Day started early with interviews by 94.5 at the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center about our military service. When asked about Hanoi Jane Fonda, I voiced my thoughts of her which are not very positive. By the response to my statement a large number of Veterans agreed.
From there, we traveled to River Hills Golf Course for the Quilts of Valor ceremony. The Quilts of Valor organization is made up of truly special individual that “wrap” veterans in a beautiful lovingly hand-made quilt. Mine is one of my proudest possessions.

Another great evening at Murphy’s in Cherry Grove. Our dancers displayed their talent and the locals and visitors enjoyed the show. Michael worked his magic behind the bar and kept the drinks flowing. A huge shout out to Dennis, Peggy and Debby for all their help in setting up, loading and unloading. Our locals, visitors, and super staff really made this a fun night

We made it an early night Friday. A little time at Deckerz with Ray Scott, a little time at Murphy’s with Root 65, and then dinner at Snooky’s with Debby. Actually a great night.
